In a career full of accolades, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is no stranger to winning awards. This week, he added to his proverbial trophy case, winning AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in Buffalo’s 39-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14.
Allen completed 22-of-28 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns, two of which came on fourth-down plays, against the Bengals. His first touchdown pass was
an absurd 11-yard strike to wide receiver Khalil Shakir. Facing fourth down and a 14-3 deficit, Allen extended the play, rolled to his right, and zipped a pass into triple coverage that nearly hit a Cincinnati linebacker in the helmet.
His second touchdown pass was less dramatic, as he hit tight end Dalton Kincaid on an angle route to pull the Bills within three with five minutes left in the third quarter. For his final passing touchdown, Allen hit tight end Jackson Hawes on a 4th & Goal to push Buffalo’s lead to 39-28 with three minutes left in the game.
Aside from his success passing, Allen was also incredible as a runner. He carried nine times for 78 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown run to give the Bills life in the fourth quarter. The touchdown, which was the longest regular-season touchdown run of Allen’s career, brought Buffalo to within three points with seven minutes remaining in the game. Allen also gained 17 yards on a scramble with the Bills facing 3rd & 15 at the end of the game. Had Buffalo not converted, they would have had to punt the ball back to the Bengals, but thanks to Allen’s run, they were able to kneel twice to bring on the end of the contest.
This is Allen’s third Player of the Week award during the 2025 NFL season. He previously won the award in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens and Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is the 18th time Allen has won the AFC Player of the Week award in his career.
