After Michael Olise kept hogging all the awards, Harry Kane had to get in on the action. When Bayern Munich faced VfL Osnabrück in the DFB-Pokal first round, the England captain kept up his incredible scoring record in the German cup by nabbing a brace. In fact, his first goal was so casual, it was hard to tell whether the ball had even gone in — until he started celebrating.
This was the seventh straight Pokal game where Kane has scored, and his 13th goal in nine games. In fact, since joining FC
Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, Kane has not lost a single game in the competition. The times when his team got knocked out, he was either on the bench or out with injury.
The brace against Osnabrück also ends a moderate scoring drought for the 33-year-old, whose last goal was a penalty versus Mexico in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Now that he has opened his account, Vincent Kompany and FC Bayern fans will expect the goals to come more freely in future games.
