Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Falcons fans and fans across the country.
The regular season hasn’t started yet Kevin Stefanski and Ian Cunningham find themselves managing their first crisis. While expectations aren’t particularly high in Atlanta, the idea of a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2017 not being competitive in the league’s worst division is indefensible to fans. They will need to work with
Jeff Ulbrich to find an ideal solution to try to replace Jalon Walker’s production. The recent signing of Cameron Sample isn’t necessarily that, but he could be a decent rotational piece if he makes the team.
Fans will ponder which veteran pass rusher on the market could be signed. No matter who gets added, rotational players on the roster have to be ready for greater roles. Zach Harrison has shown flashes as a versatile defensive lineman. Bralen Trice has stood out in training camp as a player ready to take on an expanded role. Samson Ebukam and Azeez Ojulari are players who had their moments as rotational edge rushers. Those are the likely four pass rushers on the roster who will get the most opportunities, as James Pearce Jr. will likely serve a lengthy suspension.
Out of those four players, who can make the biggest difference off the edge?
