One of the best stories of the end of Barcelona’s season is the return of Gavi. After a true injury nightmare that included two different surgeries on the same knee that cost him two years of his career, The Warrior is back in the lineup and playing at a very high level.
Gavi looks in great physical shape and his performances have been outstanding, displaying his usual intensity and fighting spirit combined with amazing on-ball skills. He has started the last four games for Barça and is making a serious
push to receive a last-second call from Luis de la Fuente and make the Spain squad for the World Cup this summer.
Gavi hasn’t played for Spain since suffering his first knee injury in November 2023, and how poetic would it be if his first game back with La Roja took place at the biggest stage in the sport to cap off an incredible journey of resilience and belief from a player who embodies those qualities as well as anyone.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Has Gavi secured a spot in Spain’s World Cup squad with his performances since returning from injury?
