As you probably know, for much of America, Kon Knueppel has been an utter revelation with the Charlotte Hornets. Duke fans had a pretty good idea, of course. We saw an unusually intelligent player in Cameron
last year. There were questions about his athleticism, which he’s answered, but never about his maturity or character. He’s made a big impression on everyone.
Now a leading candidate for NBA Rookie of the Year, Knueppel had a very nice return home to Milwaukee recently, where his family hosted the team for dinner, providing 25 lbs. of chicken fajitas for the occasion.
It sounds like a wonderful occasion all the way round, but the highlight of it was when one of his younger brothers tried to sneak a dunk on LaMelo Ball on a mini basket in the house. Gotta give the kid credit for speed here. Time for the chant: four more kids! Four more kids! Four more kids!
In general, it sounds like a great time for everyone, including the neighbors, who came out and took pictures.
