We’ve got a live one, folks! Tonight, the New England Patriots take on the New York Jets, and it’s a game that should have all of Bills Mafia glued to their screens. The Buffalo Bills are struggling, and there
may be no easy fixes in 2025. But it’s 2026 that matters the most — as in January, and then a huge game in February. Can Buffalo do what’s needed to rise to the challenge and have a meaningful start to 2026 while closing out 2025 with a bang?
All of that will be made easier if the Jets help take care of business tonight. But a Patriots loss won’t be enough, as the Bills cannot afford to lose a game before their Week 15 rematch in New England. It’s officially playoff season at One Bills Drive, and this season features a lot of extra scoreboard watching to see what favors fall Buffalo’s way.
So far, every bounce the Bills’ way has been wasted by a team that really just doesn’t seem to have it all together this season. But the doom and gloom can wait at least a few hours until Week 11 of Thursday Night Football is in the books.
You don’t need a reminder to root for the Jets tonight, but our Bills Week 11 Rooting Interests guide lays it all out, as well every other matchup that has meaning for Buffalo. Here’s what Rachel Auberger had to say about things:
“Another easy one to pick who to root for. The Bills can’t take the AFC East crown unless someone beats the Patriots for them. That means that, no matter how unlikely the hero-to-be is each week, we will continue to root for whatever team is not New England. A loss to an AFC East rival? Nothing could be more helpful.
A Patriots loss, coupled with a Bills win, would put Buffalo just a half game out of first in the division. Then Buffalo could take care of the rest of things when they travel to New England in Week 15.”
No Bills fan is ready to see the Patriots back contending. It hasn’t been long enough since Tom Brady tortured the fan base. Robert Kraft is weird, and really creepy the more you dig into his life. What about those Nike Rivals uniforms for the Patriots? The new threads haven’t been meaningful to team’s win totals this season. Will New England’s slide begin this evening?
With that, here’s your open thread for the AFC East showdown between the Patriots and Jets. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
