The Arizona Cardinals take on the Las Vegas Raiders tonight and this article had to be revamped because of the news of Carson Beck now not playing, but that is okay, we can go from five things to watch to three things to watch and still have a good time, right?
Here are the three things I will be watching tonight between the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders.
Is the Arizona Cardinals defense up to the challenge?
We still will not be able to tell much about the Arizona Cardinals defense in the sense of telling if they are really bad or not, but we
can tell some basic things.
Like, can they cover? Can they tackle? Are they fundamentally sound and understand their assignments?
They can’t rush the passer, they haven’t been able to cover so far, but that’s one game where maybe three players we hope play a lot played snaps.
Can Jeremiyah Love show something and get out?
This means absolutely nothing for Love overall, but this this is his first live action in a Cardinals uniform and we just want to see it one time, and then get the hell out of dodge, right?
Is there a quarterback better than Carson Beck?
Ok, this may be hyperbole, but I can tell you, Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew have not looked great in training camp. That doesn’t matter, but you’d like them to start to turn a corner eventually and look like they are the right guys for this season. It is not ideal that a nearly 25-year old rookie third round pick is the best quarterback on your roster right now.
