The Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament has an official Final Four! For the last few weeks we’ve been narrowing down 64 good things in life, organized randomly and pitted against each other in head-to-head matchups in a March Madness bracket. Voting on matchups each day has helped us pass the time between the waning of free agency season and the start of training camp.

The first Final Four post matches up Dolly Parton vs. the Oregon Coast.
Dolly Parton has demolished her competition in this tournament so far, mostly due to her kindness, winning personality, musical talent, and willingness to speak out to advocate for others. We lost her this summer, of course, and it’s been fun seeing the support for, and memories of, her gracious approach to life. You can’t go wrong backing a woman who lifted spirits during dark times…and founded a whole dang theme park to boot!
The Oregon Coast is more of a regional choice. The fact that it’s survived to the Final Four is a testament to how powerful and beautiful the coast experience is. It dwarfs you with immense natural wonder, yet brings you closer to family and community as you enjoy it together. It’s a paradise for dogs, a haven for natural species, and a sure dominator of your phone’s photo library…a truly unforgettable destination.
