The New York Giants on Tuesday signed former Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Myles Purchase to their practice squad.
Purchase, 22, is a 5-foot-9, 203-pound player from Iowa State who signed with the Chargers
as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. He was released from the Chargers’ practice squad three weeks ago.
The Giants have been dealing with injuries at cornerback. High-priced free agent-signee Paulson Adebo has missed the last five games with a knee injury. Perhaps this move to add some depth is an indication that Adebo could finally be heading to injured reserve.
Deonte Banks missed last week’s game with a hip injury. Reserve cornerback Art Green was placed on injured reserve earlier in the season. Before signing Purchase, the Giants did not have a cornerback on their practice squad.
