The TCU Horned Frogs will be without several important players for Saturday’s Big 12 Conference game against Houston. Both teams published their initial injury reports on Wednesday. Among the TCU players expected
to be sidelined are safety Bud Clark, running back Kevorian Barnes, corner Avery Helm and kicker Kyle Lemmermann, who reportedly suffered a setback in his rehab from a leg injury. Below is the full report from both sides.
Barnes, who has already missed three games to injuries this season, will miss a fourth on Saturday. The UTSA transfer has been a steady producer out of the backfield, rushing for 443 yards and three touchdowns on 97 carries. This will be the first game missed this season by Clark, who has 54 tackles and four interceptions for the Horned Frog defense this season. Another notable absence is wide receiver Ed Small, who hasn’t played since his six-catch, 101-yard receiving effort against Kansas State last month.
After missing last season to a knee injury, Helm has been in and out of the lineup all year, playing in just four games and registering only five tackles. Lemmermann, who hasn’t played since the North Carolina game, will be out for a ninth consecutive game. Among the players listed as questionable are running back Trent Battle and guard Cade Bennett. Should Battle be unable to go, Jeremy Payne would likely get the lion’s share of the runs.
