Rumors for the Day:
- According to Fightful Select, there was frustration within WWE regarding low ticket sales in Salt Lake City for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
- They also said Triple H and Bruce Prichard were not backstage for the show, which is rare for such a big event.
- For what it’s worth, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Tony Khan doesn’t want to use wrestlers he knows are going to WWE. There’s also speculation that could be why David Finlay has disappeared from AEW TV.
- Fightful notes that MJF is set to wrap filming on his latest movie project soon but it’s unclear when he will return to AEW. Apparently he’s having a ball of a time in Hollywood.
- Speaking of returns, the Figure Four Daily Update threw cold water on the idea of Will Ospreay returning in January, saying he is hopeful to start some light weight workouts then but he’s still a ways off from being back.
- Some have noticed that Zelina Vega’s name appears to have been changed to simply read “Zelina” on the WWE roster page.
