The 2025 NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 4th at 4 PM ET, and if history is any indication the Dallas Cowboys will at the very least be connected to a move, if not making one.
Last season saw the
Cowboys make a deal for wide receiver Jonathan Mingo before the deadline (Dallas sent the Panthers their 2025 fourth-round pick) and to date there have been a lot of reports about them being interested in adding to the defensive side of the ball before this clock strikes midnight, so to speak.
This post will serve as our tracker for all rumors, points of news, actual moves made, and everything in between as it relates to the trade deadline and the Cowboys’ involvement. Most recent updates will be posted at the top.
A brief overview of what led us to today:
- October 21st: This was the first day it was reported that Dallas was interested in trading for Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby.
- October 26th: Jay Glazer reported the day that Dallas visited the Broncos that the Cowboys called about both Crosby and Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.
- October 29th: Word continued to swirl that the Cowboys held interest in Crosby and Hendrickson.
- November 2nd: It was reported on Sunday morning that the Cowboys are willing to trade away Mazi Smith.
- November 3rd: In the lead-up to Monday night’s loss against the Arizona Cardinals, Jerry Jones noted that the team would (he was coy about this to be clear) have something done before the deadline. He backtracked a bit after the loss, but obviously his words carry merit.
