WWE didn’t offer much in the way of details last night when they announced John Cena’s appearance on Raw next Monday (Nov. 2). They didn’t even give us a Cena GIF, and certainly not as good of one as Geno when he shared the news in The Feed:
The Matchbox star offered some information while amplifying WWE’s post on social media, and confirms Geno’s supposition in the process. He will be in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center (a planned double-taping to account for Crown Jewel travel… which still appears to be happening
in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 7, a week from Saturday) to offer some details about The John Cena Classic:
Make sure not to miss #WWERaw next week. SPECIAL START TIME OF 6PM EST! The wait is over, the speculation ends 11/2.
Let’s build this “Never Seen” CLASSIC! OUR time is NOW!
Cena’s told us that The Classic will involve WWE’s stars of today facing off against future main event hopefuls in exhibition matches, and that fans will help determine who “wins the tournament” — and that the winner need not have won their match on the show. He also told us the event will happen in December, but we haven’t gotten much clarity on which weekend in December.
Beyond that, there’s mostly been criticism and questions about Cena’s Classic. We’ll see how much of that he responds to next Monday, and how everyone’s feeling about Cena’s latest big swing after his return to Raw.
