The Las Vegas Raiders signed defensive tackle Gary Smith as an undrafted free agent.
Let’s take a closer look at Smith:
Size:
6-1, 319 pounds.
College:
Duke (2020-21), UCLA (2022-25).
College highlights:
He had 25 career college starts, including all 12 games for the Bruins in 2025 Smith was an honorable mention All Big-Ten selection in 2025 after missing the entire 2024 season due to a preseason injury.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
A lot of scouts like Smith and believe he has upside. He has been considered
as one of the Raiders’ most promising undrafted free-agent signings. He is a space-eater and he could profile as a solid developmental nose tackle for the Raiders’ in their 3-4 base defense. I would think he has a strong chance to start his NFL career on the practice squad with a chance to be promoted to the active 53-man roster over time.
