The Buffalo Bills announced a roster move on Saturday, elevating defensive back Te’Cory Couch from the practice squad ahead of their game with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Couch, 27, is in his third season with Buffalo. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Miami (FL) following the 2024 NFL Draft. He has never appeared in a regular season game for the Bills, but he has been with the team’s
practice squad for each of the last two seasons. In seven preseason games with Buffalo, Couch has 19 tackles, one sack, four pass breakups, and an interception.
The Bills made a roster move on Friday, as well, placing defensive back Jordan Hancock on injured reserve thanks to a hamstring injury. Hancock is mainly used on special teams, but he also plays both slot corner and safety. Couch is similarly versatile, so he could directly replace Hancock on the gameday roster on special teams and as a reserve. The Bills also have rookie safety Jalen Kilgore on the 53-man roster; Kilgore has been a healthy scratch for each of the first two games this season.
As a member of the Hurricanes, Couch started 32 games, totaling 156 tackles and four interceptions in his NCAA career.
