Rodrygo is back
Changes on training ahead of UCL Leagues
Under Xabi, the team trained in Real Madrid City in order to have less information leaks to the opponents as possible. But with Arbeloa, we are back to training in the opponent’s stadium, the same way Ancelotti used to do.
Arbeloa comments
Brazilian ESPN journalist Gustavo Hoffman made a good question to Arbeloa. He asked on how he wants his team to play. But the coach dismissed a bit:
What we want to see is Madrid like the one we saw another day. That beyond all the ideas we have, whether tactical, systemic, or organizational at a footballing level, I want see a team with character and mentality of the other day. This is something that can never be lacking for us, it represents well what is Real Madrid, this mentality, ambition, desire, passion. It’s about everyone going together as one, this camaraderie. I think this is our values and it’s what we need to represent and we can’t never abandon. And after that, all the football ideas come next.
Ancelotti set to renew with Brazil
It’s been reported that Ancelotti and CBF reached a verbal agreement to renew coach’s contract until 2030 and they will sign the contract on February.
I understand the reason for the move — CBF likely is satisfied with Ancelotti’s presence in Brazil’s football. But what if the performances and results in the World Cup are bad enough? We have seen only a few games under Carlo and the results are not all marvelous. So, I think everything is about the World Cup.
If this deal is happening, it looks like Real Madrid secure coach options — Ancelotti and Zidane — will be both coaching NTs until 2030.
