Good news, Clemson remains undefeated against the bye week. Bad news, we have to watch Clemson play again. Thankfully it is Cupcake Week: Midseason Edition down in Death Valley. Not sure how this ended up happening, but for the optimists that may still be here it is a chance to ease into the back half of the schedule.
Look this is always simple, no one gets hurt and Clemson can rest starters during the second half. The rest is just an added bonus. As we’ve said for the last 2.5 years, we are always going
to hope that the OL looks competent. I’m not expecting it, but it would be nice to see. Miami was an ugly game for a number of reasons, and if ther eis any hope at salvaging the rest of the season the Tigers have to start with a good performance today.
On defense the line has to get pressure. Yes, they should do it easily, but too often this team seems to sit on its laurels or just assume it is going to out talent the opposition. Just go win the game in the first quarter and enjoy some Gatorade on the sideline.
Hopefully we get to see a few snaps from our injured guys. Dabo has mentioned a few players are ready to get back in the action, or close to it. A little bit of game action ahead of next week against Virginia Tech would be lovely.
