Arizona football is beginning to build a reputation for developing NFL kickers.
Another former Wildcats kicker will be on an NFL roster Sunday, as the Green Bay Packers have signed Lucas Havrisik
to their active roster. The Packers’ regular starter at kicker, Brandon McManus, is dealing with a right thigh injury and is questionable to play in Green Bay’s afternoon game versus the Cincinnati Bengals.Havrisik appeared
in nine games for the Los Angeles Rams in 2023, connecting on 15 of 20 field goal attempts and 19 of 22 extra point conversions. Havrisik has also spent time on the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills but never appeared in an NFL game with any of those teams.
The 26-year-old Havrisik played five seasons at Arizona (2017-21). He holds the UA record for longest field goal – 57 yards. He was twice named an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention.
Havrisik becomes the third former Arizona kicker on an NFL roster, joining Baltimore Ravens rookie Tyler Loop and New York Jets veteran Nick Folk.
Before Havrisik signed with the Packers, Arizona was one of six college programs with two NFL kickers (Arkansas, Florida, Miami, Memphis, Virginia Tech).
