Recruitment is heating up, as many recruits start to schedule official visits this Spring, some are already committing.
That is what Kentucky Football saw over the weekend, as they lost 4-star TE Seneca Driver to Oklahoma, and most recently, Bryan Station 4-star defensive back Jordan Haskins, who has committed to Louisville, giving the Cardinals another high-profile in-state recruit.
Haskins said the relationships he’s built with Louisville’s coaching staff were a major factor in his decision.
This
was Louisville’s third commitment from players ranked in the top-10, as they continue a strong in-state recruiting push under Vince Marrow. Haskins also has family ties, as his father, J.T. Haskins, played football at Louisville. That alone made this a very long uphill climb for Kentucky to win.
Kentucky, under Will Stein, continues to focus on in-state recruiting and has already landed commitments from Larron Westmoreland (Jeffersontown) and Brady Hull (Pulaski County). Despite losing out on Driver and Haskins, the Wildcats are looking to build a competitive 2027 class and to also continue to recruit in-state as well.
