Former Bellator fighter Dillon Danis has withdrawn from his main event fight against Mike Perry
, which was supposed to headline Duel Arena 1 this weekend (Sat., Aug. 29, 2026) inside Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.Perry will remain on the card against former UFC and MVP MMA veteran Brandon Jenkins, who accepted the fight on roughly 48 hours’ notice.

Perry announced Danis’ withdrawal during Thursday’s pre-fight press conference, delivering
the update in classic “Platinum” fashion.
“This p—y-ass b—h Dillon Danis didn’t show the f—k up,” Perry said. “He’s not here. He backed the f—k out because he’s a p—y. I want to give a shoutout to my new opponent, Brandon Jenkins. He’s getting on a plane right now. He’s flying here to weigh in in the morning like a professional and fight me on Saturday night.”
No reason for Danis’ withdrawal has been revealed as of publication.
Of course, anyone who trusted Danis to make it to fight night probably has not paid much attention to his career.
The controversial grappler famously withdrew from a scheduled boxing match against KSI in Jan. 2023, with Misfits Boxing officials claiming he was underprepared, did not have a coach and was struggling to make weight. The two were booked again in March 2025, but that entire event was scrapped after KSI fell ill.
Danis also had a scheduled MMA title defense against Anthony Taylor canceled in Dec. 2025 after he was not medically cleared because of injuries sustained during his infamous UFC 322 brawl.
In other words, Danis has developed a bad habit of creating plenty of noise before leaving promoters and opponents to pick up the pieces.
Danis most recently competed in MMA in Aug. 2025, submitting Warren Spencer in just 15 seconds in a squash match. He followed that victory with one-sided wrestling losses to Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev under the Real American Freestyle (RAF) banner.
Jenkins, meanwhile, will jump on a plane and attempt to save Saturday’s main event. “The Human Highlight Reel” most recently defeated Chris Avila via split decision at MVP MMA 1 in May and is more than willing to go toe-to-toe with Perry on almost no notice.
Perry vs. Jenkins will remain an MMA fight and headline the Duel Arena 1 pay-per-view card.
Once again, Danis leaves someone else to clean up his mess. This time, Jenkins gets a massive opportunity, Perry gets a willing opponent and fans still get a main event — just not the one they were sold.
