Hello, White Sox community! I was born and raised in McHenry County, Illinois. That is Cubs country, but I grew up a White Sox fan. My dad bought into a season ticket package along with some of his co-workers, so he took me to at least four games a season, and that is where we had our father-son moments.
My dad had some physical ailments that prevented us from having a catch. So, we watched White Sox baseball instead. That is why I still have this huge emotional attachment to Chicago AL’s team, even though
it has been a major challenge lately to love this club.
I am also a diehard Chicago Bears fan.
My family has an attachment to Marquette basketball since my dad went to MU, my uncle went there, my three sisters also attended Marquette University, and I earned my bachelor’s from the small Jesuit school in Milwaukee. I attended Marquette during the Dwyane Wade days, and yes, it was amazing being on campus when the Golden Eagles made the Final Four during my junior year. While at Marquette, I interned at Newsradio 620WTMJ. I turned that into becoming the producer of Sports Central with Bill Michaels. I got to cover the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, Wisconsin Badgers, and Marquette basketball during the six years I worked there. I was also the board operator for the Packers Radio Network. I would run the board wearing my Brian Urlacher jersey.
Covering the Brewers even allowed me to sit in on an Ozzie Guillén postgame presser, and it was amazing.
I also interned for the Milwaukee Brewers’ scoreboard operations in 2003 and turned that into a paying gig from 2004 to 2014. When you draw a paycheck from a team and watch that many games, the Brewers eventually became my second-favorite team.
Finally, I did freelance work for the Associated Press for eight years. I wrote Bucks and Brewers game stories and helped out with Green Bay Packers coverage.
I am also a huge Blackhawks fan. I’ll admit I ditched the Blackhawks after growing tired of Bill Wirtz trading away star players and not putting home games on TV. Like most fans, I came back during the Stanley Cup run. This time, I have stuck with the team during this rebuild that feels like it will last forever. I ran FanSided’s Blackhawks site, Blackhawk Up, for almost two years. I still dabble in content there from time to time.
I did grow up a huge Michael Jordan Bulls fan. However, my dad hated the NBA, so I never had the emotional attachment to stick with the Bulls after Jordan left town. I did enjoy working with the Milwaukee Bucks organization, so I have been a fan of that franchise ever since the Bulls traded Jimmy Butler for next to nothing.
Finally, I have been the host of Locked on White Sox since the start of the 2024 season.
Hometown: Currently reside in Milwaukee, but I grew up in Johnsburg, Ill. Go Skyhawks!
How and when did you join SSS? I joined SSS just now (October 2025). Previously, I produced White Sox content for FanSided’s Da Windy City and then Southside Showdown starting in 2021.

Favorite current White Sox player: Shane Smith
If you could have any job in baseball, what would it be and why? Assistant GM, because you get to be involved without taking all the heat.
White Sox fan since birth, and I am in my mid-40s now
First White Sox memory was attending my first game ever at Old Comiskey. It was 1989, Yankees vs. White Sox and it snowed at one point.
Hall of Fame: Speed Round

Paul Konerko No

Wilbur Wood No

Favorite White Sox memory was the White Sox beating the Yankees in 1990 despite not registering a hit. My grandpa, dad, and I were at Old Comiskey when Andy Hawkins pitched eight innings of no-hit ball. He took the loss as the White Sox scored four runs in the eighth on a couple of fielding errors. Hawkins never got credit for the no-no because he did not go the full nine innings.
Favorite White Sox player ever Frank Thomas
Next White Sox statue Ozzie Guillén
Next White Sox retired number should be Ozzie Guillén, he was a three-time All-Star shortstop for the White Sox and managed this club to its first World Series win in 88 years.
Go-to concession food at Sox Park Vienna Beef Hot Dogs with grilled onions.
Favorite Baseball Movie Field of Dreams
South Side Sox on the Field Pitcher. You always dream of having the ball in your hand.
