The second phase of the Cleveland Browns offseason program started on Tuesday, just days away from the first round of the 2026 NFL draft. Much like last year, but with helmet cameras, the Browns quarterback competition includes sharing reps, a tracker, and no certainty about who will be the starter heading into training camp.
While the upcoming draft gets all of the attention, as it should, NFL free agency is almost a year-round event at this point in time, with a slight break after the Super Bowl.
On Monday, we covered news that Cleveland GM Andrew Berry was bringing in two offensive free agents for tryouts during this week’s voluntary minicamp. On Tuesday, those two were confirmed along with nine others:
- RB Sincere McCormick (reported yesterday)
- OL Joe Michalski (reported yesterday)
- WR Keith Kirkwood
- S Patrick McMorris
- CB Keenan Garber
- S JT Woods
- DT Fatorma Mulbah
- DE Markees Watts
- OL Tyler McLellan
- DE Josh Paschal
- DT Jacob Sykes
Paschal was a second-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2022 and played 36 games, including 18 starts, for the team in three seasons. The Kentucky Wildcats product put together 62 tackles, 15 QB hits, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one pass defense in those three years.
McCormock was undrafted in 2022 and has bounced around between a number of teams since then. The 5’9” running back played in five NFL games, all in 2024 with the Las Vegas Raiders, with 39 rushes for 183 yards and six receptions for 29 yards.
Watts also has three years of experience, with 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 27 games. Kirkwood has played in the NFL since 2018, nabbing 24 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns. McMorris played in six games with the Miami Dolphins in 2024, and Woods was active with the Los Angeles Chargers for 13 games between 2022 and 2023.
The others have not played in a regular-season NFL game since entering the league.
