The 2026 NFL draft starts tomorrow night at 8 p.m ET, and will be broadcast live from Pittsburgh, PA. Scouts, coaches, and executives have spent years studying the prospects who will hear their names called this weekend. After their final college season, there were all-star games, the Combine, pro days, private workouts, and Top 30 visits for teams to gather more information on hundreds of players.
The Washington Commanders were 5-12 last season, a massive letdown from Year 1 of the new regime, and a catalyst
for multiple coaching and roster changes this offseason. GM Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn now enter their third year together, and they still have a lot of work to do to build a consistent, winning franchise.
The Washington Commanders have the No. 7 overall pick, but only hold two picks within the top 100. They now have six picks total in this year’s draft, missing 2nd- and 4th-round picks from the Laremy Tunsil trade. Washington got a sixth-round pick back from trading RB Brian Robinson to the 49ers. Adam Peters indicated that the team will listen to trade down offers to gain more picks in this year’s draft, but he expects to stick and pick at his original position.
