To fill their two coaching vacancies, the Guardians have raided the Seattle Mariners this offseason, hiring Tony Arnerich and Andy McKay as their bench coach and on-field coordinator, respectively.

Meisel of the Athletic reported that Arnerich, who had served as the Mariners’ bullpen coach in 2025, would be the hire to replace Craig Albernaz as bench coach:

The Mariners are a smart organization and both individuals have strong baseball resumes. One would assume that Vogt became familiar with both during his time in 2023 as Seattle’s bullpen coach.
