Castilla Graduate Jeremy De León has officially announced his departure from Real Madrid. He signed for Castilla in 2024 from Castellón. Jeremy announced the following on social media:
“There are goodbyes you’re never truly prepared to write. Ever since it all began in Puerto Rico, I dreamed of wearing this jersey. It has always been the club of my heart, and being able to make it a reality was a privilege I will always be grateful for. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t hurt. It hurts to close a chapter
at the club I always dreamed of representing; it hurts to leave a place that meant so much to me. Even so, no one can take away the pride I feel in having defended this badge and in having been part of the best team in the world. That will stay with me for the rest of my life. And if there’s anything that makes me especially proud of this whole journey, it’s being able to look back and think that the kid from Puerto Rico who dreamed of getting here made it. I hope my story helps many kids on my island see that it is possible. That it doesn’t matter where you come from, how far away the dream seems, or how many times you’re told it’s impossible. Dream big. Believe in yourselves and never let anyone tell you how far you can go. You too can reach places you might not even imagine today. Some dreams are never forgotten. They just change course. I will always love you the same, no matter what. Hala Madrid, today and always!”
Jeremy de León is joining the Catalan club UE Sant Andreu after leaving Real Madrid.
