Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Softball!
Mizzou Softball is Lexington bound for the SEC Tournament.
11th-seeded Missouri takes on 14th-seeded Auburn in the opening game of the tourney. After sweeping Auburn earlier in the season, Mizzou will look for their fourth straight win against the other Tigers.
This game will essentially be for a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Here’s the latest RPI breakdown from True Deck:
In the latest softball bracketology from Benjamin Rosenberg, Mizzou is a No. 3 seed in the Lincoln, Nebraska Regional — but things can obviously change with a loss to Auburn. (Editor’s note: And by change, we mean if they don’t win the season is over)
In a must-win game, there’s no surprise that senior ace Cierra Harrison will get the start.
Due to weather conditions in Lexington, today’s game gets an earlier start at 10 a.m. CST. Dylan will be on recap duty so stay tuned.

So now the Tigers need to win at least one game in the SEC Tournament to make the postseason. You know I think I’ll go out on a limb – they should win more than one! I think that should do the trick.
One more win for Mizzou? Maybe two to be safe.
The Tigers are now 4-20 in the Southeastern Conference heading into their final two series against strictly SEC opponents.
Laird Veatch will have to make an interesting decision in the offseason on Kerrick Jackson.
Great pics featuring Mizzou Softball over the weekend. Despite losing the series to Tennessee, the Tigers pick up a huge win in the finale on Saturday.
