Any number of folks, many of whom ranging from a status akin to “I have no idea who that is” to “Oh, yeah, I know that dude. He’s pretty cool on what’s-his-name’s-show,” have made efforts for their voices to be heard in the piling on about a series of costly mistakes Texas quarterback Arch Manning made during the Longhorns loss to the Sooners last week. But for many of us, life goes on. As does our frustration at Manning.
Taylor Lewan, a former Pro Bowl offensive tackle during his time playing for the
Buffalo Bills, has stood behind Manning, believing him as a fan, so far this season.
But in recent weeks, Lewan admits Manning’s decision-making at times has made his enthusiasm for the fourth-year collegiate signal-caller, of whom he’s a fan, difficult.
“I want this kid to be successful,”Lewan said during a recent appearance on Bussin’ With The Boys. “But some of the things, like, bro, how many more weapons do you need?”
Clearly, Lewan isn’t alone in his skepticism of Texas’ quarterback.
Folks across the college football universe and beyond have mentioned their concerns related to the latest Manning quarterback dynasty heir who flashed brilliance in his fourth quarter performance that upset Ohio State earlier this season, for example.
Manning will look to get back on track in Austin this week, when Florida comes to town.
