So now that the confetti is cleared, let’s focus on what’s ahead.
Often times, for some fans at least, the offseason is where the action is. Thanks to fantasy sports, we live in a perpetual time of trade ideas and free agent desires. Some fans like that action more than the action that takes place on the field. Whatever brings them into the game, I guess, but there is no doubting the importance of the offseason when it comes to the following season. It’s where rosters are built and dreams are created.
With MLB, the Winter Meetings is usually the time when it all goes down, but as we saw last with Juan Soto, sometimes a player wants to make a decision quickly and get it out of the way. Maybe that’s what happens this year, but who knows until Scott Boras gets involved.
Which brings us to our question of the day: what is your prediction for the biggest move this offseason by any team in MLB? Maybe it’s a free agent signing, say Kyle Tucker to the Yankees for the next twelve years. Maybe it’s a trade, say Tarik Skubal going to Queens for a bushel of prospects. Give your best prediction; who’s going to remember it anyway?
