The Arizona Cardinals announced their five team captains Monday.
Jacoby Brissett, Hjalte Froholdt, Budda Baker, newly acquired long snapper Casey Kreiter and veteran linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. are the Cardinals captains for 2026.
No real surprises here, outside of maybe no Trey McBride or Paris Johnson Jr. but we know that teams typically feel like quarterbacks are the captains of the team.
Brissett and Froholdt are the two oldest healthy players on the offensive side of the ball, so these things make
a lot of sense.
For the defense, Baker is still the heart and soul of this defense which is either good or bad, no idea.
Wilson is the emotional leader of the defense, and hopefully he helps make the defense better this year if he can stay on the field.
