As expected, the Germans have invaded New York!
Per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, DFB executives are in New York and are in talks with German national team head coach candidate Jürgen Klopp:
🚨🇺🇸 First negotiations between Jürgen Klopp, Marc Kosicke and the DFB, represented by Bernd Neuendorf and Hans-Joachim Watzke, are now underway in New York, as revealed.
The final negotiations between the DFB and Red Bull are planned for early next week in New York between Watzke and Oliver Mintzlaff.
Everything is proceeding according to plan. Official announcements are planned once everything has been finalised. Still some work to do.

This should be a relatively easy negotiation when it comes to salary and vision. Where this could become troublesome is with exactly how much power Klopp would yield. Rumors indicate that the DFB is ready to offer him whatever he wants, but football is an ego-driven business at times and giving a head coach free reign to make whatever changes he wants with the team, the organization, and even the facilities might create some internal issues.
Stay tuned, this one could be a quick turnaround — if the DFB is truly ready to play ball.
