Just a day after the announcement of the Minnesota Timberwolves bringing back their retro tree jerseys, Wolves fans got another treat.
Alan Horton, the longtime voice of the Timberwolves radio for nearly two decades, will be accompanying the legendary Jim Peterson on games where Michael Grady
is working nationally televised games. It will be a great opportunity for Horton to get some limelight and showcase his skills on your screens.
If you are unfamiliar with Horton’s game, here’s one of the most iconic calls in Wolves history.
Many of us who have met Horton in-person can attest to what an amazing human being he is. He never shies away from an opportunity to chat with fans before or after games, and has endured many of the worst years of Wolves basketball with them. Horton won’t completely leave his post from radio this season, as he’ll continue to call nights that he is not working TV while his calls with JimPete will also be simulcast for select games.

Accompanying the trio of gentlemen will be Lea B. Olsen, who returns to work sideline duties for home games. Away games will feature two new faces in Cayleigh Griffin and Ashley Stroehlein, both of who have worked for various national and NBA organizations. Marney Gellner and Rebekkah Brunson will also continue hosting “Wolves Live” before and after each Timbewolves game.
