In a battle for NFC West supremacy, the 7-2 Los Angeles Rams are set to host the 7-2 Seattle Seahawks this Sunday, November 16. While Albert Hammond may have sang, “It never rains in California”, the greater
Los Angeles area is expecting precipitation all weekend. Not to worry though, fans should be dry and snug under the plexiglass roof of SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PST.
In the first of two season matchups, a pair of well-matched opponents will take to the field of battle. Both teams enter on four-game win streaks and rank in the Top 5 for scoring offense and defense. The Rams are scoring 27.9 points per game (5th) and allowing a paltry 17 (2nd), while the Hawks counter by scoring 30.6 points per game (3rd) and allowing 19 (6th). Seattle leads the overall series 28-27 and won the last meeting 30-25 to close out the 2024-25 season. In the Sean McVay era (since 2017), L.A. holds an 11-7 advantage.
Other than the normal Week 11 bumps and bruises, the ‘Hawks seem to be getting back into shape, but the Rams had some late week bad news. Defensive tackle Kobie Turner has been bothered by a bad back as has wide receiver Jordan Whittington. The two starters join a third, wide receiver Davante Adams, who tweaked his oblique in last Sunday’s win over the 49ers as questionable. For Seattle, wide receiver Tory Horton and center Jalen Sundell are out, but they will welcome back ex-Ram Ernest Jones (ILB), Josh Jobe (CB), and Jake Bobo (WR). All three were out for last week’s game.
