Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/34-20)
SYRACUSE 11, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 8 (BOX)
Syracuse jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first two innings, and while the bullpen stumbled enough to make things close-ish late, that lead held up. Jett Williams, Gilberto Celestino, and Luke Ritter all went deep, while Jared Young had a three-hit day. On the mound, the rehabbing Tylor Megill was only so-so; he allowed three runs in four innings, walking four. He’s still been quite good overall in his rehab starts, however, and is likely close to returning
to the major league team. What his role will be is less clear given the arrival of Nolan McLean and Jonah Tong.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/35-19)
BINGHAMTON 7, SOMERSET 5 (BOX)
Binghamton’s five-run third was enough to propel them past the Patriots in this one despite what might’ve been Jack Wenninger’s worst start of the season. The breakout arm (who is still more “nice prospect” than “future TOR starter”) allowed five runs in five innings, walking two and striking out five. Big hits from D’Andre Smith and Kevin Parada helped paper that over though.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-20*/24-33)
HUDSON VALLEY 7, BINGHAMTON 1 (BOX)
Awful game for Brooklyn, who have been unable to right the ship in the second half. A paltry four hits, three errors, and seven total runs allows is a sure way to lose.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/39-18)
ST. LUCIE 3, LAKELAND 0 / 5 (BOX)
Simon Juan’s steal of home highlighted a rain-shortened St. Lucie win over Lakeland. Juan swiped home as part of a double steal executed with Sam Robertson in the bottom of the fifth, the final frame played before weather forced the game to be called. AJ Salgado also hit his first home run in the win.
