Player Ratings: Rayo Vallecano 0 – 0 Real Madrid
A frustrating night in Vallecas. Real Madrid dropped points in a goalless draw that once again exposed the team’s lack of clinical edge in the final third.
Thibaut Courtois: 7
Had very little to do but made two key saves when called upon. His calm presence and positioning continue to be world-class.
Fede Valverde: 7
Worked tirelessly tracking back and covering ground on the right side. However, he didn’t offer the offensive thrust the team needed in the final phase.
Raúl Asencio: 8 One of Madrid’s best
performers. Looked confident, sharp, and close to his top form from early last season. His movement and aerial presence stood out in a game lacking rhythm.
Dean Huijsen: 6
Still trying to find his feet. Made several crucial clearances but looked a bit rash at times and picked up a yellow before being subbed off at halftime.
Álvaro Carreras: 7
Solid defensively against Álvaro García and comfortable under pressure when building out from the back. A mature display overall.
Eduardo Camavinga: 6
Had moments of brilliance breaking up play but was occasionally careless in possession. Needs to find more consistency in his passing rhythm.
Arda Güler: 8
Madrid’s most creative player on the night. Calm on the ball, resisted pressure, and generated five key passes.
Brahim Díaz: 6
Lively in the first half and nearly produced an assist with a perfect cross to Asencio. Faded after the break and struggled to influence the game thereafter.
Jude Bellingham: 7.5
Worked hard between the lines, made intelligent runs into the box, and often dropped deep to help Madrid escape Rayo’s press. Couldn’t quite find the breakthrough moment.
Vinícius Jr: 6
Everything ran through him early on, but his decision-making in the final third was poor. Too many turnovers and dribbles into traffic.
Kylian Mbappé: 4
Invisible. Offered little movement and was starved of involvement. A night to forget.
Substitutes
Dani Ceballos: 7
Injected energy and purpose into Madrid’s midfield. Helped move the ball quicker and more vertically.
Rodrygo Goes: 5.5
Another subdued cameo. His confidence and impact off the bench seem to have dipped.
Éder Militão: 7
Strong and composed in limited minutes. Snuffed out Rayo’s transition opportunities and added stability.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: N/A
Came on too late to influence the game.
