Barcelona sporting director Deco has been spotted jetting back into the city after reportedly taking a trip to London to talk about Joao Pedro.
El Chiringuito managed to get Deco to stop for a quick chat at the airport and asked him about Barcelona’s transfer business.
“We’re working, we’re going to bring in some players. For now we can’t say anything about Joao Pedro, we’re interested in several players. We haven’t spoken to the clubs yet,” he said.
Deco is believed to have sounded out Pedro’s camp
over a potential move to Barcelona as the club search for a new striker to replace Robert Lewandowski.
The Brazilian is well liked by Barcelona but only moved to Chelsea 12 months ago. However, there’s speculation he could move on again after Chelsea endured another chaotic season and he was left out of Brazil’s squad for World Cup 2026.
Julian Alvarez is also another target for Barcelona but doubts persist over whether Barca can afford to bring him in. Atletico reportedly want €150 million for Alvarez, with PSG also believed to be interested in the Argentina international.
