The two players don’t seem that similar, at first glance. Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft likes to keep it quiet in the offseason — the South Dakota native loves the small-town environment of his NFL home. Micah Parsons, on the other hand, is a frequent traveler to exotic locations like Dubai and has a burgeoning media presence, including a popular podcast.
But these two players are the straws that stir the drink for the Packers on their respective sides of the football right now, and they
both command the attention of their opponents. They also each have an intensity and focus that is palpable, even through the television screen or from a distance.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that these two players were the ones that led their respective units on Thursday night as the Packers defeated the Washington Commanders 27-18. Parsons is already playing at a Defensive Player of the Year level despite arriving in Green Bay just 15 days ago, while Kraft put up an All-Pro quality game with 124 receiving yards and a score.
Kraft earned a game ball from head coach Matt LaFleur after the game and although Parsons’ half-sack will not jump off the box score, his constant pressure on Jayden Daniels is noticed by those who track more than just tackles and sacks. These two are some of the most entertaining players in the entire NFL, let alone on the Packers’ roster, and we should all be excited that we get to enjoy watching them for the foreseeable future.
