It’s officially the offseason, and that means we have the freedom to run wild with the rumors of the past few days and then see what to make of them. This time around, though, we couldn’t avoid the big news of the week.
That is of Dusan Vlahovic’s time at Juventus coming to a close.
Earlier in the week, we heard reports that the final meeting between Juventus’ front office and Vlahovic ended with the Serbian striker essentially being told that his time in Turin was up. That has resulted in some other
stories — their validity still to be determined — about how things went down, what demands were (or weren’t) and how Juventus stood their ground in the aftermath of those demands being made.
When it was all said and done, we saw the separation of Juventus and their No. 9, the player who has cost more than the club has ever spent on a January transfer.
There were a lot of reasons why things played out this way. We tried to get into some of them.
