Score one for Eddie Hearn.
After months of Dana White publicly dismissing Hearn, calling him “completely full of s—t” and confidently behaving as though he would take control of Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua, the Matchroom Boxing chairman finally got his revenge.
Fury and Joshua’s long-awaited British heavyweight showdown was officially announced for Dec. 11, 2026, inside Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The blockbuster fight will stream globally on Netflix.
In other words, it’s happening in the United
Kingdom — not Madison Square Garden in New York City, where White repeatedly hinted it would land.
White spent months shitting on Hearn throughout the increasingly ugly negotiations. He accused the British promoter of hurting the fight, told him to stop “whining and crying,” and questioned whether anyone in combat sports was “more full of shit” than him. White also spoke with remarkable confidence about his involvement, even challenging reporters to consider whether he would risk looking like a “f—king idiot” by publicly claiming he would promote the fight.
Well, Hearn kept Joshua from being shipped to America and now he’s taking a well-earned victory lap.
“The f—kery involved in this fight — and we’ll come onto the fact that even Netflix put out a press release saying ‘the fight will be in conjunction with Dana White.’” Hearn said in an interview with IFL TV. “There’s loads of battles to come on that because that ain’t happening either.”
Hearn’s celebration was briefly interrupted by Netflix’s official announcement, which stated that Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and White would “collaborate to promote” the historic event. According to Hearn, however, someone at Netflix failed to read the contract.
“Dana White cannot be involved in this fight,” Hearn said. “Netflix clearly didn’t get the memo. You see, no one talks to each other. So I speak to Sela and Turki, ‘No, Dana White is not involved in the fight, you’ve got a contract that says that, he won’t be at the presser, blah, blah, blah.’ And then Netflix says the fight’s in conjunction with Dana White. So now we have to go through that process. We stand by our contract, and he cannot be involved.”
That was when Hearn twisted the knife.
“When I saw the press release, I just couldn’t stop pissing myself,” Hearn continued. “You really got them to include your name in the press release, you silly, sloppy tit. It’s just so petty. You’ve lost, mate. You’ve lost. You did everything you could to bring the fight to America and rob the British fight fans of the fight. Give it up, son.”
Hearn then reminded White that his supposed done deal at Madison Square Garden never existed, no matter how confidently UFC’s CEO sold it.
“You came in and was like, ‘Yeah, we’ll just take this fight, the biggest fight in the history of British boxing, one of the biggest sporting events in the history of Britain, and we’ll just put it in Madison Square Garden,’” Hearn said. “Well guess what, motherf—ker: That didn’t happen.”
Hearn added that he will contact Netflix to remind the streaming giant of its contractual obligations, warning White that he cannot “weasel” his way into the upcoming press conference after being “royally mugged off, pants down, bent over, butt cheeks spanked.”
“We won the race,” Hearn concluded. “The fight is happening in the U.K., and on we go.”
White’s name may have secured a place in Netflix’s press release, but Hearn won the battle that mattered most: Fury vs. Joshua is staying home.
And after all the trash talk he absorbed along the way, Hearn was never going to let “sloppy tit” forget it.
