As the Miami Hurricanes continue the journey of the 2025 football season, our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook have released odds for the suddenly marquee week 3 game against the USF Bulls.
With no further ado, your FanDuel Sportsbook line of the week:
This is a reasonable line. Miami is a top 5 team in the polls, and seem to be on the path towards the College Football Playoffs. USF is a developing program,
but they got a great result to potentially build on with the 18-16 win at Florida last week.
I know you’re probably thinking this line is too high. That’s fine; Sportsbooks set the lines to both rate the teams against each other, but to elicit betting on both sides of the line.
And, beyond that, I get the hesitance I’m sure many of you have. Miami has let us down many times recently. And, USF JUST won at UF. So, a line like this one feels icky. It doesn’t sit well. It makes you uncomfortable. I totally get it.
But, if Miami is the team they want to be, and the team I think they are — remember, I predicted an 11-1 regular season before the year — then this line is fitting. And, this team needs to deliver.
There will be more conversation about this game through the week, but for now, Miami are favorites heading into the game, and USF has our undivided attention. As I said earlier, the only regular season game where Miami will likely be the underdogs was the opener against Notre Dame, and the Canes won that game.
