Match Preview
Everton start a new season full of promise with a trip to newly-promoted Leeds United. With a full preseason under David Moyes and seven new signings already, there’s early hope that this season will not be another relegation battle. For that, Everton will need to get off to a good start under challenging circumstances at Elland Road.
Moyes went on record again to say that he’s hoping for at least three or four more signings. With two weeks to go in the summer transfer window, there is still time
for that, but in the interim the Blues are going to have to play with a weakened right side and a midfield that can be slow and ponderous at times.
Opponents Leeds watched Sunderland cruise to a big win over West Ham and Burnley were hammered by Tottenham Hotspur, and will be looking to make some early gains so as to not be looking up the table from the relegation zone.

The Toffees last visit to Elland Road ended in a 1-1 draw, with Anthony Gordon scoring an early goal that was canceled out by a Luis Sinisterra equalizer in the second half.
