According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg
, Bayern Munich star Lennart Karl will miss the World Cup with an injury he picked up in training.It seems as if Bild’s initial reporting was correct and that Karl did suffer a muscle injury. In this case, though, it was a muscle fiber tear, which will keep the youngster sidelined for the tournament in North America. The injury was confirmed with an MRI:
