Yet again, Bengals fans are left wondering where this team went wrong.
Following Sunday’s debacle vs. the previously 0-7 New York Jets, things are as bleak as they’ve been in recent memory. While this team
still theoretically has a path to the playoffs in a struggling AFC North, it feels like the future of this team isn’t anything beyond being a one-and-done playoff berth, even if Joe Burrow comes back healthy.
This defense has the potential to be one of the worst units in franchise history. Looking at this team’s lack of success in the NFL Draft, it’s easy to see why things have gotten so bad, and de facto GM Duke Tobin is a big part of that.
However, significant blame also lies with head coach Zac Taylor, as there’s simply no excuse for this team to be capable of beating the division-leading Steelers, only to lose to a winless Jets team that was without arguably its best players, Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson.
Plus, Taylor has a big hand in who the Bengals draft, including epic third-round bust Jermaine Burton, a player who’s yet to appear in a game this year.
So, if given the choice to fire one of these men, who are you going with, and why? Sound off in the poll below and in the comments section!
