Nike have ‘just done it’.
Yes, they have managed to put ink to paper and bring Bayern Munich’s superstar winger Michael Olise to the fold. And for their Hypervenom line, no less. The previous player at the focal point of the line was a footballer named Neymar.
Doesn’t ring a bell. But we’ll trust Nike on this one.
According to a recent report from @Footy_Headlines (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), “Nike will not package Michael Olise like a conventional football brand superstar – instead they will take
a completely different creative route.”
‘Ooooh, what do they have in store now?’ – I hear you wonder.
The report details that “Nike will make use of the sharp contrast between Olise’s ‘calm off-pitch aura’ and his ruthless execution on the pitch.” Now that is cold.
An icy ‘iced-up’ iceman? Cold, calculated killer? When I Googled looking at options for Olise’s spirit animal, it brought up the snow leopard. Now that would be a phenomenal marketing strategy.
Nike, are you taking notes?
