According to a report from Sport Bild’s Christian Falk (as captured by Goal), Paris Saint-Germain could be looking at making a move for Bayern Munich star Harry Kane during the summer transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain plans to strengthen its striking options this summer, with Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane among the players under consideration.
According to the Bild podcast “Bayern-Insider”, the Englishman is a top target for Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the report, head of football Christian Falk
has learnt from sources close to the club that PSG are saving up for a “superstar striker transfer.” And, after all, there aren’t that many big names available who would be in the running for a move to the French capital.
Kane’s contract in Munich, however, runs until 2027, meaning he is entering the final year of his deal ahead of the new season. Nevertheless, an exit from the German record champions seems unlikely—even if PSG were to tempt him with “big money”, according to Falk. Instead, an extension to his current deal is considered highly probable.
BFW Analysis
It would be a complete shock if Bayern Munich sold Kane at this point. In fact, most are expecting the Bavarians and the Englishman to strike a deal for a contract extension this summer.
As for this rumor, if Kane does eventually make a decision to leave Bayern Munich, it is assumed that any club will be fair game. So, maybe PSG will have a chance in the future to get Kane, but likely not right now.
