Welcome to the weekend, folks!
The Bruins will host the New York Rangers at TD Garden in an early afternoon game, making it one of those times where a standalone preview doesn’t make a ton of sense.
Instead,
you get: the Public Preview! Preview Skate? Either way, it’s a two-for-one deal.
- When: Today, 1 PM
- Where: TD Garden – Boston, MA
- How to follow: ABC, 98.5 The Sports Hub
- Opposing perspective: Blueshirt Banter
The Rangers come into this game second-last in the Metropolitan Division with 46 points, tied with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Rangers find themselves five points out of the second wild card spot with a bunch of teams in between, so it’s fair to say it’s been a very disappointing season on Broadway thus far.
Igor Shesterkin suffered a lower-body injury against Utah earlier this week, putting him on injured reserve. The Rangers will turn to Jonathan Quick in net in the meantime.
Overall, the Rangers have lost five of their last six games, with two of those losses coming beyond regulation.
As you may remember, the Bruins already hosted the Rangers once this season, losing 6-2 on Black Friday.
Should be a good one.
Bruins! Rangers!
Discuss.
