The Syracuse Orange will take the field for its next game with a five-game losing streak, and Vegas appears to be saying the winless stretch will continue.
Syracuse will enter its upcoming matchup versus the No. 18 Miami Hurricanes as a 27.5-point underdog, according to the latest odds from FanDuel. The betting site currently has the Orange at +2200 to upset the Hurricanes in Coral Gables.
The Orange will once again be playing in the national spotlight next Saturday. Kickoff between Syracuse and The U
is set for 3:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
Syracuse is coming off a 27-10 home loss to North Carolina on Halloween. It will enter the game 3-6 overall and 1-5 against the ACC this season, currently 16th in the conference standings. The Orange’s last win came against Clemson on September 20.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are facing a skid of their own. Miami has dropped two of its last three, with a blowout over Stanford sandwiched in-between one-score losses to Louisville and SMU.
Syracuse is 8-15 all-time versus Miami. It has not beaten the ‘Canes in South Florida since 1997.
Of course, as many fans will remember, Syracuse notably upset Miami in the JMA Wireless Dome last season, winning 42-38 for the program’s first win over the Hurricanes since 1998.
