Josh Hokit is earning a reputation for causing trouble wherever he goes.
After getting tossed out of the UFC White House press conference on Friday following an altercation with UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, he decided to turn his attention to a light heavyweight at UFC 328 on Saturday night.
The confrontation happened when Costa and Hokit started exchanging words in the crowd and as they got closer together, security swooped in before anything could potentially turn physical.
As police officers
and security pulled Costa away, Hokit flipped him off with the middle finger and Hokit started shouting at him.
“There’s only one f*cking bad guy,” Hokit said. “Get the f*ck out of here!”
Costa kept his cool as security kept them separated as Hokit continued jawing at him from the other side of the crowd.
Of course, Hokit has become one of the louder voices on the entire UFC roster, especially after he took a big step up the rankings with his win over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 and then being booked for a fight against Derrick Lewis at the UFC White House card in July.
On Friday, before he got into it with Topuria on stage, Hokit was shouting and taking aim at former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira, who is moving up to heavyweight to battle for his third title against Ciryl Gane at the White House.
Obviously, Hokit hopes to work his way into title contention sooner than later, but it looks like he’s ready to get into it with anybody from lightweight to light heavyweight given his latest altercation with Costa on Saturday.
