Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane had another starring role in the team’s 5-0 victory over Hamburger SV and for a brief time, he teamed with Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson.
“If you follow the Premier League, you can see that he has many good attributes. He creates a lot of chances. And he’s here to help the team. We’re already working together in training and finishing together. I feel he can have a big impact for us this season, with his speed, his movement, and his goals. He’s a great addition for us.
I didn’t know him very well. We played against him in the summer [England vs Senegal], and he made a very good impression, he played a really good game,” Kane told Sky Germany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “From my perspective, he’s not a backup. Many people see it that way, but he’s someone who can play any position up front. I think we’ll play together often. He got minutes [against HSV]. Hopefully, he can continue to build his confidence, get minutes on Wednesday, and try to impress his former team.”
It is unclear how much Kane and Jackson will play together, but it could happen from time-to-time. As a back-up to Kane, though, Jackson should be a quality addition.
Bayern Munich returned to action in the Bundesliga by hosting Hamburger SV and just crushed the visitors.
The Bavarians took home a 5-0 victory in a game that was never close. Bayern Munich was dominant from the outset and wasted little time in giving Hamburg a not so friendly welcome back to Germany’s top flight.
