England beat Czechia 3-0 on Tuesday at Wembley with Rio Ngumoha coming on for the second half of the action. Ngumoha came on in the 73rd minute and helped the Three Lions maintain control in a match that was already won, making this a hard match to judge in terms of creativity and building threat.
Thomas Tuchel’s remarks on his future potential, however, make for good reading for any invested in the young attacker’s England future. Ahead of this match, Tuchel listed Ngumoha as an option he was pleased
to turn to:
“Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane were decisive for us in the World Cup and I see no reason they won’t be in the future… We have our youngest player in Rio Ngumoha – he seems to be pretty decisive. I think we have options.”
His limited minutes as he integrates into the England structure behind the aforementioned prolific and experienced attackers is something of a positive for Liverpool: with Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak returning early with injury, getting Ngumoha fresh will is good news.
