This week, we’re voting on nationally televised and
internet streaming pro wrestling shows that took place Aug. 9-15, 2026 — Raw, NXT, Evolve, Dynamite, Impact, ROH on HonorClub, SmackDown, MLW Fusion, Collision, AAA & CMLL’s weekly shows, New Japan’s G1 36 (but not Sunday’s Finals), and everything else I’m no doubt forgetting.
But first, here’s the outcome of last week’s voting, and how those results changed our annual competition for the Cageside Cup.

- Honestly, I figured returning from a career-threatening injury to become #1 contender for the Undisputed WWE title would take the week. But turns out we love another Canadian even more.
- Winning the Intercontinental title in your home town was almost enough to beat the Prizefighter’s return for second place, but it did land the Minneapolis native comfortably in front of the WWE World Heavyweight champ, who got his first points of the year for successfully defending against his main antagonist.
- The love’s faded, but it’s still there for our Very Nice, Very Evil frontrunner for the next Cageside Cup.
- AEW’s National champion knows he’s entering All In’s Casino Gauntlet at #1. How? By winning a three-way at Arena Mexico, that’s how.
- Wins at the Temple of Lucha Libre also landed an All Elite Aussie in seventh, and in ninth an Englishman who will soon challenge for the company’s top prize.
- WWE’s surprising new Men’s United States champ, and the Megastar who lined himself up for a shot at The OTC (which we’ll specify stands for “Original Tribal Chief” to avoid causing any more confusion or hard feelings).
